THE IDEA

Every year the best chessboxer will compete with the best robot in a chessboxing fight to decide who rules the planet. Leading up to the fight, we will follow both fighters and their training. The robot and the mechanics in the laboratory and the human fighter with his trainers in the gym.

THE RULES

The fight will be fought under the general chessboxing rules. With the following additions:

The robot must resemble his opponent in form, height, and weight
The robot has to walk on 2 feet
The punching power has to be the same as the human fighter
The AI must be installed in the head of the robot



BACKGROUND

Since the computer beat Kasparov in chess, we have been on the defensive when it comes to intelligence. Even more so since artificial intelligence is on the rise. We are all in awe of the videos showing us robots on 2 feet doing backflips. On the other hand, they still look quite stiff compared to Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson. Will this be the last ground where we can still beat them?



PURPOSE

There is widespread fear of what’s coming. With robots and artificial intelligence (AI), many jobs will be lost. Stephen Hawking even predicted that AI will end mankind within the next 100 years. By fighting the robots every year, we create a communication platform with an enormous reach: Nothing exits mankind more than a fight!
